Assembling SYNO S-400, the FO splice closure for 384 splices and 2304 ribbon fiber splices by R&M

The high-density fiber optic splice closure SYNO S-400 is here. R&M’s latest solution for the rapid deployment of FTTx and FTTH networks. The video shows the components and mounting of the SYNO S-400 dome closure, a member of the R&M SYNO family for public network infrastructures.

SYNO S-400 is a dome closure for high-density Fiber to the Home (FTTH) outdoor infrastructures. The fiber optic splice closure SYNO S-400 combines ribbon and single fiber technology in one place. The standard type of the FTTx joint closure with stackable swiveling trays can be used for

➡️ up to 384 single fiber splices or
➡️ up to 2304 ribbon fiber splices

Watch the video and learn how to leverage the advantages of the SYNO S-400 closure for your broadband rollouts. The modular cassette concept of the SYNO-S splice closures gives network operators flexibility in FTTH deployments. Technicians can configure the joints on site as required. Each cassette can be fitted with holders for single fiber or ribbon fiber splices or splitters. The segmented cable entries with SYNO gel seals are also freely configurable.

This means that FTTH companies can implement any topology and application with a single splice closure system. They can use different cable types to design the network to suit the location. The cabling can be quickly compacted or changed in the future, if necessary, as the joints can be opened in just a few simple steps.

The SYNO S-400 is suitable for aerial and underground cabling and regions in which FTTH infrastructures are to be expand quickly and prepared for future FTTx applications.
