HMS TechTalks: 5G for robot dogs

Robot dogs! How cool is that? In this HMS Techtalk, Jens Jakobsen from HMS and Niclas Backlund from Ericsson explain the communication technology used in the robot dog “Spot” who patrols the Hans Christian Andersen Airport in Denmark.

Spot patrols the airport fence to make sure it is intact. To communicate, Spot uses 5G which makes it possible to send vast amounts of data in a quick and secure way.

It is also less noisy than barking. 🐶

Ericsson and HMS Networks handle the 5G communication. Video from the HANNOVER MESSE last week.
